Business InsiderVersus, soon-to-be rebranded NBC Sports Network, has officially confirmed Darren Rovell’s new show, “SportsBiz: Game On,” will air Friday nights, beginning next week.

The CNBC sports business reporter maintains a blog by the same name, covering all financial aspects of sports, on and off the field.

Rovell tweeted the information this morning. He also informed his 116,000 followers they will play an integral role in the broadcast. Rovell plans to feature fan’s tweets and take their phone calls.

He also announced the show’s sideline reporter, Erin Sharoni.

“SportsBiz: Game On” airs 7 p.m. ET

Big win for the masses here, folks. Big fans of Darren Rovell here, as he was our first and only non-athlete Man Crush of the Week. Now he’s got his own show on Versus, which will be re-branded the NBC Sports Network on Jan. 2. I’m fired up for this show, and even more exciting is our newest friend, who Darren will be teaming up with: Erin Sharoni.

Ok, Erin Sharoni is very good looking… any idiot can tell that… but she’s also a cool chick. We sent her a congralatory tweet this morning and she responded to us almost immediately. In addition, here’s a few more cool things I read about her. “In her free time, she enjoys boxing, snowboarding, and surfing. “Surfing is probably my favorite sport to actually participate in,” she said. “The water is my temple; it makes me feel whole.” Besides Magic Johnson, she names Lawrence Taylor, Jerry Rice, Mark Sanchez, Steve Nash, and surfer Laird Hamilton as her favorite athletes. “Sure, Lawrence Taylor has his demons; but, as an athlete, the man revolutionized football. Probably the greatest defensive player of all-time,” she said. “As for Mark Sanchez, he’s going to bring our Jets to the Super Bowl.”” I’m willing to overlook all that Mark Sanchez crazy talk and chalk it up to fanhood. The girl snowboards and surfs…a California girl at heart. Yes! Didn’t believe the boxing part?

Sizzling. So, there you have it, folks. Darren Rovell, you may have met your match… and joined forces with her. Well done, sir.
