Contrary to everything I would’ve ever imagined, Brittney Griner and I have something in common. Longboarding. (Sector 9 skateboard term, not surfing.) I longboard almost every day… I take my two year old daughter. She loves it. I skated to and from class for four years in college. I’ve bombed hills that I’ve had no business bombing and have the scars to show for it. (See how badass I am? It’s overwhelming.) So, to see this video of Griner gettin’ her longboard on… and the coach being cool with it… I’m into that.
Also, and I’m not trying to be mean when I say this… but if you listen to her talk with your eyes closed, not knowing who’s speaking… that’s a man’s voice.
