NY Times – Ryan Dunn, a star of the “Jackass” television show and movies, which feature perilous stunts and gags that often run afoul of good taste, died early Monday when his car went off a road and crashed in woods in West Goshen Township, Pa. He was 34. A passenger, who has not been identified, also died in the crash, which occurred near Mr. Dunn’s home in West Chester, Pa., the West Goshen Township police said. The car, Mr. Dunn’s Porsche 911, burst into flames…
That’s what’s left of his car. Sad day. It really is. Dude was really funny. He was a real guy, with real friends and family who really loved him. It’s awful that he got into a car wreck and died, killing himself and a passenger. Sucks that everyone says he was boozing hard before he left the bar and drove home. Here’s a pic that Ryan posted on Twitter a few hours before he died. It’s already been removed from his Twitter feed.
Chalk one up to drinking and driving. Nobody wins when that happens, folks. So don’t do it. Like I said, it’s horrible about Ryan, it really is, but between him, Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera and the rest of the Jackass crew… it’s amazing the others are all still alive. We’ve seen what these dudes do on Jackass, and they are all certifiably insane…putting their lives on the line constantly. Not trying to make light of the news, but it’s bizarre to think that a guy that puts himself into unthinkable situations… died doing something any of us could’ve just as easily done last weekend. Let’s be smart, lobbers…call a cab. RIP Ryan.
